During the summer, Biscayne Hospitality distributed 5 kg (11 lb.) bags of rice to our valued factory partners in Southeast Asia. The occasion was Eid al-Fitr, a high religious holiday at the end of the annual fasting month among the Muslim faithful in Indonesia. Biscayne Hospitality gifted each employee a celebratory bag of rice, the staple food of Indonesia. It’s also the main ingredient in ketupat, a rice dumpling encased in a beautiful diamond-shaped pouch made of palm tree leaves, that is traditionally made during Eid.
